Westside High School
Program Overview
Westside High School is the district’s alternative education campus, serving students who need a structured and supportive setting to recover missing credits and get back on track for graduation. Once students have caught up on credits and demonstrated consistent academic progress, they may transition back to a traditional high school setting.
The program combines smaller class sizes, individualized support, dedicated credit recovery time, and opportunities to explore Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways.
- Students who are behind in credits
- Students who benefit from a smaller, more focused learning environment
- Students who want an alternative pathway to graduation
- Daily Edgenuity Period: One period each day dedicated to Edgenuity for make‑up/credit recovery.
- Core Class Schedule: Students spend the rest of the day in required courses—English, math, and electives aligned to their grade‑level graduation requirements (not credit recovery).
- CTE Courses: Hands‑on Career Technical Education opportunities to build career skills and explore vocational interests.
- Wednesday Credit Recovery Day: Every Wednesday is fully dedicated to credit recovery, giving students structured time to complete assignments and accelerate progress.
