COUNSELING SERVICES
A school counselor, a mental health clinician, and a school psychologist are available for various types of academic and mental health services. At GCEC, student wellness is a top priority. Our school counselor Mrs. Gutierrez provides academic assistance, social-emotional support, and college/career planning, helping students navigate their educational journey and personal development. In addition, our behavioral health clinician Ms. Rodriguez offers specialized mental health services, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and support for challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, and family issues. Together, these services create a supportive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive—academically, emotionally, and socially. Our school psychologist Ms. Navarro, works through a combination of assessment, counseling, and collaboration with teachers and families, to identify and address learning or behavioral challenges of students. Services include individual and group counseling, behavior intervention planning, crisis support, and assistance with special education evaluations.
